  Pride in CUPE:  This workshop will demonstrate that lesbian, bisexual; transgender and gay (LBTG) issues ARE union issues.  It will outline the significance of LBTG issues in our union and workplaces; break down myths about LBTG members; reveal the impacts of discrimination on workplace relationship; show the workplace environment from the perspective of LBTG people; and lead to actions we can take as allies and activists. Preparing for bargaining In this workshop, participants will learn how to prepare for negotiations in a way that will get them a better deal once bargaining starts.  The workshop will deal with determining bargaining priorities, sources of information for bargaining, preparing proposals, and setting bargaining goals.  A major focus will be on strategies to increase membership support for bargaining -- before bargaining starts.
